Peer to Peer Learning Programme for Cities and Regions

KeepWarm’s fellow Horizon2020 project PROSPECT is currently offering a free Peer to Peer Learning Programme for Cities and Regions to learn with and from each other on how to finance the implementation of their sustainable energy and climate action plans (SECAPs) using innovative schemes. In this framework they are looking for regional and local authorities to join the third and last learning cycle either as mentors or mentees on sustainable energy related projects. The programme is open to local and regional authorities or energy agencies.

We in KeepWarm felt it would be of strong interest to cities working with us, and others, because we believe that introducing/ retrofitting district heating systems should be a key component to any cities’ planning processes, especially a SECAP.

Who can join?

All European cities, regions and any other types of territorial public authorities (e.g. provinces, urban communities, etc.) and their agencies and municipal companies (i.e. energy agencies, local energy and transport companies, etc.) trying to secure financing to achieve ambitious energy and climate objectives or that have projects/activities in sustainable financing they would like to showcase at the European level are welcome to join the learning journey as mentors or mentees.

How to join?

Please visit their “get involved” section on the PROSPECT website and fill in your application form for the 3rd call for expression of interest for “mentees” by 6 March.

Want to know more about PROSPECT?

The PROSPECT learning programme enables peer-to-peer learning in regional and local authorities in order to finance and implement their sustainable energy and climate action plans, especially in the framework of the Covenant of Mayors for climate and energy. The programme builds upon successful financing schemes implemented in cities and regions in the EU. Through mentoring activities and study visits, it will help local and regional authorities to benefit from the lessons learnt and the experience of their peers in order to launch their own investment programme. The peer-learning community created already gathers more than 100 participating cities, regions and energy agencies from 24 countries. At the end of the programme one can get certified as an innovative financing professional.
